Currently we are looking for a motivated individual to join our Operations Team in our new French fry manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY.  We are seeking a dedicated, thoughtful individual with the creativity to tackle novel projects that come with food innovation, an attraction to our high-paced, multifaceted start-up environment, and enthusiasm to join the organization as a foundational team member. 


The Warehouse and Procurement Supervisor would work closely with the Operations Manager and Production Supervisor to ensure the facility is organized, safe, and efficient.  This role will be pivotal to ensuring smooth operation from raw product in-bound to receipt of finished goods by our customers. 



  • Farther Farms’ warehouse is organized, clean, safe, and abides by all HAACP, OSHA, and GMPs; databases are up-to-date and accurate;

  • Customers are satisfied as all outbound shipments are correct and received on-time;

  • The manufacturing facility runs without delay, and all raw materials and packaging materials are purchased and stocked accordingly;

  • You work in symbiosis with the Operations, Quality, and Sanitation teams, and are seen as an indispensable member of the organization for your ability to command the logistics and smooth operation of the manufacturing facility from raw product inbound to delivered finished goods.



  • 1-3+ years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control, or materials management in manufacturing; food manufacturing experience preferred;

  • Knowledge of HACCP and OSHA;

  • Excellent communication skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail;

  • A Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, industrial management or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.


Warehouse and facility:

  • Lead, plan, organize, and control the operation of the warehouse;

  • Lead purchasing of raw product and secondary ingredients, coordinating with the Operations Manager and Production Supervisor to plan and stock accordingly;

  • Oversee daily movement of products to ensure effective selection, loading, and timely delivery of customer orders; manage all order assembly processes and ensure completion and accuracy;

  • Monitor inventory control and ensure inventory is stored in accordance with safety records, company policy, and OSHA procedures;

  • Ensure quality, safety and good manufacturing processes (GMPs) are followed; comply with FDA, USDA and HACCP standards; keep receiving dock, dry storage, and finished storage areas clean and organized;

  • Communicate with Production and Operations on status or rework, inventory, and loading/unloading locations and schedules;

  • Direct inbound and outbound shipments and complete required documentation;

  • Forecast raw material needs and packaging material needs;

  • Stage materials for production;

  • Accurately and diligently use inventory control system for operational needs, shipping, receiving, inventory, inbound/outbound logs;

  • Oversee the security of the warehouse;

  • Maximize the storage capacity of the warehouse through the proper management of product at receipt and during storage;

  • Interact with local, state, federal and third-party inspectors as needed;

  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company plans, vision, and strategy; work with Operations and Quality Teams to solve problems and identify areas to improve/enhance overall customer service

  • Maintain and ensure proper use of all warehouse equipment; ensure safety is a priority on the warehouse floor.



This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits.  Compensation commensurate with experience.
